The innovative space, styled ‘El Cubo (The Cube), Business Contract Zone’ will be located next to the commercial exhibits. Some of the features planned for El Cubo include a series of lectures, new products from textile designers and a set where high profile interior designers will create hotel rooms using textiles on show at the fair.
València 10th May 2018.- The spotlight will be on the contract sector at Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar. This next edition of the fair, which takes place from 12th to 14th September 2018 at La Caja Mágica in Madrid, sees the launch of a new area dedicated exclusively to lectures, demonstrations and exhibits relating to the contract sector. Aimed particularly at specifiers (interior designers, decorators, architects, project managers and designers, amongst others), the initiative comes in response to demand from this segment of the market and is designed to illustrate the potential and innovation to be found amongst textile designers and manufacturers in the contract market – against the backdrop of the leading – indeed only – fair held annually in Spain that specializes 100%in home textiles, upholstery and décor.
This new space, which is being styled ‘El Cubo, Business Contract Zone’ and is being supported by well-known specialist hospitality/contract design platform Infinityinner, will be located next to the main exhibition area but in a space with its own, exclusive identity. It will be the venue for a number of lectures, talks and discussions on the subject of the role of textiles and innovations in textiles in a range of contract projects.
The organizers are making arrangements with several design, interior design and architecture practices for them to take part in these sessions, which will look at issues such as the outlook for the textile sector, different markets that are of interest, technical regulations, cases studies were textiles have been used successfully in design, textile solutions in specific projects and the latest advances in technology and textiles.
Contract settings with textile products
This new zone will also house an innovative space dedicated to displays of real projects. It will feature stagings of real spaces and textile solutions that will re-create several different hotel settings.
‘El Cubo, Business Contract Zone’ is being supported in this by well-known decor and interior design consultancies that will design each of the sets using textile products being displayed by the exhibitors at the fair. The project will be a way of seeing the practical applications of the exhibits on show at Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar.
El Cubo will be complemented by a multi-purpose space featuring a number of specially selected textile manufacturers that will be showing visiting professionals their latest collections and innovations in a more informal, relaxed environment.
According to the fair’s director, Máximo Solaz, “this initiative represents a further step in extending and measuring the impact of Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar. The contract sector,” he adds, “is one that demands a high level of innovation and professionalism and we are convinced that a platform such as our fair provides both specialist businesses and the most demanding specifiers with the best prospects of doing business”.
